The Challenge
Your job: determine where marketing crosses legal boundariesโwhere a blog post becomes investment advice, where a promotional campaign requires financial promotion approval, and where offshore conduct of business rules conflict across multiple jurisdictions.
You'll conduct legal and regulatory research to interpret how marketing regulations apply to Deriv's content globally. You assess when content triggers regulated activity requirements, advise on cross-border solicitation rules, and provide legal guidance when marketing teams want to promote products where regulatory frameworks haven't caught up to innovation. You make calls on complex legal questions: Is this financial promotion? Does this require licensing? Can we say this in jurisdiction X but not Y?
This isn't content review. It's legal interpretation of marketing boundaries where regulatory frameworks are ambiguous and where getting it wrong creates licensing exposure.
