**Job Description**

The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for cultivating supplier partnerships with major machine shops while developing supplier execution performance toward achieving BAE Systems expectations to meet quality, delivery and cost goals.
Responsibilities:


+ Improve delivery, quality & cost performance of suppliers through development of robust improvement plans.
+ Manage supplier improvement plans through supplier interaction/visits to monitor and verify progress and provide technical support.
+ Provide leadership during investigations of major problems and or special projects focusing on developing strong partnerships with suppliers.
+ Function as liaison between suppliers and internal Programs teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement to resolve supplier performance issues and to provide technical support.
