The Maritime System Division of Leidos is seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Long Beach, MS office. In this role you will play a pivotal role in designing, prototyping, and developing sophisticated electro-mechanical systems for defense applications. This is an onsite position where you will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, technicians, and program management to take concepts into fieldable systems.
**Primary Responsibilities.**
+ Support and/or lead the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electro-mechanical systems.
+ Utilize SolidWorks to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings.
+ Perform fundamental structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis to ensure designs can meet and withstand environmental and operational requirements.
