JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY
Maintain Jackson County Schools buses in a condition of operating excellence according to federal, state and local standards to ensure buses will always be in full operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintenance and repair of school buses and white fleet vehicles.
• Work under the direction of a senior mechanic on daily inspections and making repairs.
• Assist with efficient operation of all school vehicles.
• Document work performed and quantities of supplies used.
• Assist in keeping material records and maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
