Overview
Our Client based in Sevenoaks is looking for a Buyer to join them on a full time permanent basis. This is a newly created role.
The role - To negotiate and co-ordinate the timely and cost effective supply of all materials, sub-assemblies and support services to the point of need, thereby ensuring that that company cost and performance targets are achieved. The job will involve close liaison and active contribution with Operations, Commercial and Manufacturing disciplines (team approach). To manage a portfolio of suppliers with reviews and action plans for continuous improvement.
Assist in sourcing of new suppliers where required.
Education/Experience Requirements
- A good standard of secondary education preferably to A Level. (CIPS membership an advantage but not essential).
- Thorough understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MPS). SAP Business One would be an advantage
