The Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering hosts around 60 professors who lead research across a broad spectrum of topics. In Industrial Engineering, research focuses on Operations Research, Information Engineering, Human Factors, and Applied Machine Learning—areas aimed at improving the systems humans rely on to navigate the world.
