The internship position is in the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) in Mexico City. UNIC Mexico is the primary information source for Mexico, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic. UNICs are responsible for promoting a better understanding of the Secretary-General ́s priorities and the impact of the United Nations ́ work. In addition, UNICs lead the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) and Resident Coordination Office (RCO) communications and advocacy functions. The incumbent is under the direct supervision of UNIC's Director and/or the National Information Officer (NIO). He or she reports to the NIO of UNIC Mexico. The internship is UNPAID.
