Job Description
- Initiating and placing news of the hotel and hotel employees in the local media that will add to the awareness and prestige of the hotel.
- Act as a liaison between the hotel and the press to answer all media inquiries.
- To closely monitor external opinions of the hotel and to feedback such information to the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager and recommend the appropriate actions to be taken.
- Coordinate media familiarization visits for all departments concerned, liaising with relevant operational staff.
- Monitor daily media - both local and overseas - and ensure that all clipping files are maintained accordingly.
- Ensure that the media advertising rate files, local and international wherever possible, are up to date. Organize public relations events which create pre and post publicity.
