About the role:
Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, Legislation, the Managing Principal Solicitor, Legislation will form part of the senior management team within the Legal and Governance Branch. They will be responsible for building public service capabilities to support the legislative agenda for the department including through the development of policy, drafting of DI's and review of the bill and associated submissions and documents.
The role will have a specific focus on supporting the team in the involvement in the making of primary legislations, preparation of Ministerial correspondence and Governor in Council briefings in the health, ambulance services, mental health and ageing portfolios.
