**Job Summary and Responsibilities**

As the Manager Sterile Processing at St. Bernardine Medical Center you will be responsible for the operational objectives of the Central Sterilization department, and will provide management and guidance in the preparation and sterilization of instrumentation and packs, maintenance and surveillance over the cardiopulmonary resuscitation carts, and equipment assembled and dispensed through the department. Your oversight will also include the sterilization quality assurance performed in the Outpatient Surgery Center and in the L&D department as well as other departments using hospital sterilized products.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of all departmental policies and procedures, ensuring compliance of all with federal state and professional standards for sterile processing, and will review and update existing departmental policies and procedures annually.
