Overview
Provides diagnostic imaging services according to accepted standards and protocols and assures patient safety during procedures.
Responsibilities
General Diagnostic Procedures:
* Performs all mammography examinations following policies and procedures established by the department.
* Prepares and positions patients for mammograms.
* Provides care and communication to patients before, during and after the procedure.
* Uses all equipment properly and in a manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
* Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of all patients and staff.
* Explains procedures and responds to questions appropriately.
* Ensures that all images are clear and of good diagnostic quality, adjusting equipment as necessary.
* Documents patient history, including any relevant information which might affect the interpretation...
