PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Fulfil the assigned responsibilities and exercise delegated authorities in accordance with the post requirements applicable to maintenance within the Hillside Laboratory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular plant inspections to detect and resolve problems.
  • Plan and manage all laboratory equipment repair and installation activities.
  • Attend to both electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
  • Assess breakdowns and apply appropriate fault-finding techniques.
  • Maintain and/or repair low-level and high-level mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Develop, itemize, and maintain the critical spare list.
  • Prepare and report progress on maintenance done on the day.
  • Keep and control the record of available critical spares and spares.
