Job Description

Essential Job Functions


  • Maintenance Oversight & Decision Authority
  •  Review, evaluate, and approve maintenance and repair quotes for tractors, trailers, and ancillary equipment.

  • Issue purchase orders (POs) and determine whether to proceed with repairs based on cost, urgency, equipment condition, and operational impact.

  • Prioritize maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime and minimize service disruptions.

  • Ensure all repairs meet DOT, FMCSA, and internal safety standards.
  • Vendor & Cost Management
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage corporate maintenance and repair agreements with vendors, dealerships, and service providers.

  • Establish preferred vendor programs and national or regional service agreements to secure discounted pricing and favorable terms.

  • Evaluate vendor performance based on cost, turnaround time, quality of work, and compliance.
