ALBA is the Spanish synchrotron light source, a large research infrastructure operating ten beamlines, complementary facilities, and an Electron Microscopy Center. Located in Cerdanyola del Vallès, Barcelona, it is funded by the Spanish and Catalan governments and serves thousands of researchers across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Operate instruments to perform magnetic measurements.
• Maintain and improve the control system of measurement benches.
• Prepare measurement protocols.
• Process acquired data and prepare measurement reports.
• Participate in characterization of magnet prototypes.
• Perform general laboratory maintenance, including order maintenance, stocks and spare parts management.
• Support the operation and maintenance of the IDs and Magnets Group.
• Operate ALBA accelerators, including shifts and on‑call duties, available for 24/7 shifts.
