The Low Voltage technician installs, terminates, and tests structured cabling and fiber optic systems to support reliable voice, data, security, and low-voltage infrastructure. This role works hands-on in commercial and industrial environments, routing cabling, setting up network equipment, and ensuring all installations meet project specifications and industry standards.
Responsibilities
+ Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A, in accordance with project requirements.
+ Perform fiber optic installation, termination, and splicing using fusion or mechanical methods.
+ Run and route low-voltage cabling through walls, ceilings, conduit, and cable tray systems in compliance with NEC and project specifications.
+ Install and terminate patch panels, racks, jacks, and network equipment to support network and low-voltage systems.
