Responsibilities

  • Effectively supervise groups within Logistics to ensure all customer requirements are met

  • Guide the escalation process. Review processes to ensure adherence to policy and adjust accordingly.

  • Review daily workload to ensure adequate availability of resources. Provide leadership in ongoing cost reduction and continuous improvement programs/projects.

  • Anticipate and resolve day-to-day issues, complete root cause failure analyses, and take corrective actions

  • Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.

  • Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve transportation service efficiency, speed, or quality.<...
