Key Responsibilities:
β’ Investigate complex claims thoroughly by gathering and analyzing relevant documents and information including bills of lading, shipping receipts, and insurance policies to assess claim validity and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
β’ Review insurance certificates, contracts, and other pertinent documentation and contact insurance companies to begin subrogation efforts when available.
β’ Calculate settlement amounts for approved claims by analyzing documentation and applying appropriate regulations and policies; minimize legal risks by engaging legal counsel and assessing potential impact on precedents before issuing payments.
β’ Communicate findings, settlements, and decisions to all relevant internal and external parties including, but not limited to, claimants, legal teams, and insurance providers.
