Our client - a fed government agency - is seeking applications from Linix System Administrator who have strong experience in system administration and hardening. Based in Melbourne office, this is a contract job for 12 months with the option of another 12 months extension.

As a linux security specialist you will be responsible for assessing and recommending additional hardening of Linux/Unix systems. This will include developing tools or integrating existing tools and/or leveraging technology to assess system security of these platforms.

Skills and experience required for the role:

Demonstrated experience in Linux/Unix system administration and hardening .

Proficiency in Linux/Unix scripting languages and automation tools.

Strong understanding of Linux/Unix security best practices and standards.

Must have a baseline security clerance.
