Purpose of Role

The School Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety, supervision, and welfare of students, staff, and visitors using the school swimming pool facilities. The role supports full compliance with ADEK health, safety, and safeguarding regulations and contributes to the school’s overall duty of care and risk management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Student Safety & Supervision

• Provide constant and active supervision of students during swimming lessons, aquatic activities, and school events.
• Enforce pool safety rules, emergency action plans, and school policies in line with ADEK requirements.
• Intervene promptly to prevent unsafe behavior and ensure appropriate student conduct.

Emergency Response & First Aid

• Respond immediately and effectively to aquatic emergencies, including water rescues and evacuations.
• Administer first aid, CPR, and AED support ...
