Detailed Overview

Supervises designated staff and performs nursing procedures within the competency guidelines and standards of practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and the current legislative scope of practice in a community health setting; coordinates the provision of home support services and liaises with Home Health staff, as required. Responsibilities Supervises designated staff by assigning work and determining priorities, evaluating and providing feedback on employee performance and evaluations, determining training and orientation requirements and orienting new staff; resolves staffing issues including calling in staff to ensure appropriate staffing levels, where required.
