Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) dedicated to delivering compassionate patient care at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC). The LPN promotes a safe, respectful, and civil working environment for patients, residents, families, visitors, and staff, and reports to the Program Lead or designates.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to an assigned group of patients/residents in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the Standards of Practice for LPNs in British Columbia.
• Act as an independent practitioner, recognizing situations that require collaborative support from an RN/RPN when patient acuity or care falls outside the scope of an LPN.
• Assist patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Northern Health.
