**Job Description**

**Licensed Practical Nurse-AMB CARE SERV - Clinic-New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai-Full Time, Days, Rotating Weekends**

The practice of nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse is defined as performing tasks & responsibilities within the scope of supportive & restorative care; medication administration and specialized tasks under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse of licensed or otherwise legally authorized physician or dentist

**Qualifications**

+ Completion of educational program for licensure as a LPN
+ Successful completion of required New York State Department of
+ Health LPN IV Therapy Initial Program for the demonstration of competence in the performance of intravenous therapy/blood administration procedures as part of Centralized Orientation
+ Successful completion of annual unit-based review & update program in procedures associated with intravenous therapy
