ROLE SUMMARY:
The Library Assistant supports the daily operations of the library by assisting users, organizing library materials, maintaining records, and ensuring a welcoming and efficient learning environment. This role involves customer service, administrative support, catalog management, and helping patrons access library resources and services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support daily library operations and smooth service delivery
• Assist users with borrowing, returning, and locating resources
• Organize, shelve, and maintain library materials and spaces
• Update records, catalog new materials, and monitor overdue items
• Provide basic support for library systems and digital resources
