Legal Counsel 3 – Litigation - Permanent Full timeLocation:Winnipeg, ManitobaSalary:$128,724 to $193,086MPI’s Legal Services Department has an exciting opportunity for experienced Legal Counsel to join our team. The successful applicant will have significant experience practicing civil litigation.As Legal Counsel for MPI you will conduct litigation in the Court of King’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal, Small Claims, represent MPI before the Automobile Injury Compensation Appeal Commission (AICAC) and other administrative tribunals.In this role you will act as a senior member of the legal team, providing mentorship to more junior lawyers, while also preparing legal opinions, and delivering legal education to MPI staff.ResponsibilitiesConduct complex general litigation including subrogation and defence work, at all levels of Court in Manitoba.Conduct appeals before AICAC and other administrative tribunals.Lead and conduct legal research and opinions on a wide variety of issue...
