Position Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and handle legal documents (e.g., powers of attorney, guardianships, trusts, court orders, subpoenas) related to annuity and fixed products.
• Determine document acceptability; draft customer and attorney communications identifying defects and remediation steps when documents cannot be accepted.
• Research and apply U.S. state and Canadian provincial laws governing POAs, guardianships, conservatorships, and related legal matters.
• Serve as primary point of contact for business staff on legal and contractual issues; elevate complex matters to legal counsel and management as needed.
• Prepare case files, summaries, and memoranda for legal counsel; support subpoena and legal process responses through customer data research and product restriction.
• Supervise, train, and support business staff through job aids, training materials, and ongoing guidance on legal and contractual topics. <...
