# About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: **Essential criteria** 1. PhD awarded in War/Conflict/Security Studies, International Relations, Economics or related fields.
2. An emerging track record in research dissemination and a clear research agenda related to contemporary economic security and statecraft, in an area or areas that supplement current departmental expertise. 3. Ability to deliver innovative and effective teaching to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
4. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills and proficiency in academic writing.
6. Evidence of contribution to community building within a higher education setting. **Desirable criteria** 1. An ability to contribute to research methods teaching (quantitative/mixed methods). 2. Experience of successful grant capture.
