Summary You will serve as a LEAD QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPS) in the Quality Assurance Directorate of SUPERVISOR OF SHIPBUILDING BATH. Responsibilities You will research, learn and apply a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products. You will have thorough knowledge of marine coatings, corrosion control, piping and structure fabrication requirements for surface ships. You will have knowledge of inspection, test and measurement techniques, and detailed familiarity with function and use of specialized inspection tools and precision measuring devices, and understanding of calibration standards. You will have detailed knowledge of and skill in applying various methods and techniques for investigating failure; analyzing cause; and planning and executing corrective action on the complex problems that arise during ship construction and test.
