Lead Pharmacist Palliative Care - Band 8a

North Bristol NHS Trust has a one-year fixed term contact for a part-time band 8a pharmacist to lead on the palliative care services at the Trust and St. Peter’s hospice. Based on the service level agreement the post holder will work 3 days a week providing a clinical pharmacy service to both the local hospice and the trust. A rotational band 7 pharmacist provides a clinical service to the hospice on the remaining days.

Responsibilities

• Provision, management, and development of a highly specialist pharmaceutical Palliative Care Pharmacy Service to St. Peter’s Hospice and NBT patients to achieve a high standard of efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentoring pharmacists undergoing postgraduate education, facilitating learning and professional development, assessing the tutees and providing feedback on progress.
