We are looking for an experienced Accountant to support core accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records for an organization in Trenton, New Jersey. This role is responsible for overseeing monthly close activities, reconciling key accounts, and ensuring timely processing of payroll and related financial transactions. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, solid QuickBooks Desktop experience, and the ability to review financial statements with a high degree of accuracy.
Responsibilities:
β’ Manage daily accounting activity by recording transactions, posting entries, and maintaining complete and accurate financial data.
β’ Lead month-end close tasks, including preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of general ledger balances.
β’ Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, 401(k) accounts, and other assigned balance sheet accounts to resolve discrepancies promptly.
