**Overview**

Our Element Scott, LA location is looking for a **Blender** for our Specialty Gas Division to join our growing team. The **Blender** will be responsible for blending gas and liquid standards to specification. The blends are used by our clients to calibrate varying types of equipment.

The process of blending a calibration gas standard is a combination of chemistry and math and requires a technician who will pay close attention to details. Feedstock must be inspected before being used. Carefully constructed computer spreadsheets must be used to calculate the blend concentrations from the available feedstock inventory.

**Responsibilities**

+ Handling and storage of all chemicals as per the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
+ Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
+ Coordinating with the other members on the team to carry out work as per the planning schedule
