**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Lab/Facility Chemist performs chemical analyses of various types of hazardous and non-hazardous waste to determine compliant treatment and disposal, using a variety of analytical techniques and instruments.

**PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Performs preparation techniques and instrumental analysis of environmental samples for the determination of organic and inorganic constituents using approved EPA test methods and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
+ Participates in the generation of SOPs and Work Instructions (WI), under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager.
