The Pathology Department is seeking a **_Laboratory Technician_** performs routine laboratory processes and follows routine protocols under close supervision.

**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**

+ Operate standard equipment.
+ Use standard procedures for specific laboratory tests and preparation techniques.
+ Assist with laboratory maintenance, prepare solutions, and order supplies.
+ Identify and report problems in the completion of routine lab processes.
+ Other duties as assigned.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ High school Diploma or graduation equivalent.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Some science coursework and/or training certificate from a technical institute.
