Description

The Arnie Charbonneau Cancer Institute in the Cumming School of Medicine invites applications for a Lab Technician. This Full‑time Fixed Term position is for approximately 1 year (based on length of grant funding), with the possibility of extension.

Working under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and senior laboratory personnel, the Research Technician is responsible for performing specialized laboratory procedures, supporting research projects, analyzing and reporting data, and contributing to the overall operation of the laboratory. The incumbent is expected to work independently on assigned projects while collaborating closely with faculty, staff, trainees, and research partners.

This position is part of the AUPE Bargaining Unit. The role involves potential exposure to chemical, biological, and electrical hazards, requiring adherence to established laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
