Job Description
Perform basic laboratory functions including specimen processing, customer service, and data entry procedures in support of the hospital's mission of patient care. Collect, process, store and transport blood, body fluids and tissue specimens. Perform clerical functions such as faxing, copying and mailing of reports and answering the phones professionally. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. West Virginia Point of Care Technician (PoC) License. Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy Certification (CPT). Six (6) months of Phlebotomy, Lab Assistant or Cytopreparatory experience. Core Duties and Responsibilities Prepare specimens for basic diagnostic procedures to contribute to accurate reproducible patient results.
