The Kairaranga a-Whānau position will be based at our Alexandra Site. It is a permanent, part-time role with a salary starting from $90,429 to $100,019 depending on experience (pro rata).

Mō te tūnga | About the role

This role works closely with Oranga Tamariki social workers and coordinators, assisting in identifying whānau, hapū and iwi relationships for tamariki and rangatahi, building and maintaining relationships with tangata whenua and cultural groups, and supporting cultural capability building through partnership with the Alexandra Site manager and leadership team.

• Support tamariki and rangatahi to be well connected to their whānau.
• Support social workers and coordinators to identify whānau, hapu and iwi relationships for tamariki and whānau.
• Organise and facilitate hui-a-whānau, especially prior to Family Group Conferences.
