Receives, cleans, decontaminates and sterilizes reusable patient care equipment, instrumentation and supplies. The position has responsibility for maintaining adequate inventory levels for all surgical/house instrumentation/trays and supplies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. CertifiedRegistered Central Service Technicianthrough the Healthcare Sterile ProcessingAssociation (HSPA) orCertified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) through Certified Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Graduate of a vocational or college Central Sterile processing program.
EXPERIENCE:
1.One (1) year of sterile processing experience.
