Java Consultant — Brussels

A leading professional services firm is looking for a Java Technical Analyst to combine hands-on development with technical leadership on a legacy modernisation programme.

What you'll do:

• Lead Java modernisation initiatives, including JBoss/WildFly upgrades, Spring Boot migrations (Spring 5→6, javax→jakarta), and RichFaces to PrimeFaces transitions
  
• Architect scalable, secure Java solutions and define technical standards for the delivery team
  
• Manage and mentor nearshore/offshore Java developers; conduct code reviews and establish quality gates
  
• Oversee CI/CD pipeline integration and coordinate integration of code produced by delivery centres
  
• Note: this is legacy migration work, not greenfield development
