JASANZ is seeking the part-time assistance of a New Zealand based advisor in Shariah Law, preferably with awareness of Halal requirements and a background in food production or food processing, to assist with undertaking the accreditation of Approved Halal Certification Bodies for the Ministry of Primary Industry’s New Zealand Export Halal Scheme. The role involves advising JASANZ assessors in regard to any matters relating to Shariah law in the conduct of Halal audits and the approval of persons undertaking Halal food production.
