Internal Audit Executive – Barnet Council

Good Afternoon, I am currently representing Barnet Council, who are offering a permanent position for the right candidate.

Role Details

Location: 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, London, NW9 4EW. Expected to work in the office at least 2–3 days per week.

Salary offered: £48,003.00.

Responsibilities

• Plan individual audit assignments in accordance with the Annual Audit Plan, with due regard to client availability.
• Undertake a mixture of audit assignments unsupervised, including compliance reviews and systems‑based reviews of Council management systems.
• Take ownership of and conduct follow‑up reviews in accordance with the Internal Audit follow‑up procedure.
• Ensure that assignments are conducted with a risk‑based approach, in accordance with the professional standards defined by Global Internal Audit Standards and the Audit Manual.
