Position Overview

WSP’s Resources subsector within the Energy, Resources & Industry business line supports mining and heavy industrial clients across Canada. This role shapes electrical power systems for these clients, supporting both new construction and brown‑field projects. The position is based in Newfoundland and involves engineering and project execution excellence across the full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical power distribution and control systems for safe, reliable industrial operations.
• Apply technical expertise in hazardous classification environments, including flammable gases and combustible dusts.
• Conduct power system studies—load flow, short‑circuit, arc‑flash analysis—using tools such as ETAP or EasyPower.
• Prepare specifications and data sheets for switchgear, MCCs, transformers, and associated equipment.
