Job Description

TITLE: Instrument Instructor (Short Term 2-3 weeks)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Holds a valid Kentucky teaching certificate; or
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree or higher with 2.5 grade point average; or
  • Has a high school diploma (or its equivalent), is age 18 or over and has at least 3 years of band experience
  • Has the ability to communicate effectively with students

    • REPORTS TO: Band Director

    JOB GOAL: To provide instruction under certified staff supervision.

    PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide group instruction to members of the marching band
  • Instruct in areas of expertise (i.e. instrument of expertise)
  • Be responsible for reports of progress of students to the certified band staff
  • Have all students under supervision of certified personnel at all times at approved after-school programs
