Position Summary
Instructional responsibilities include teaching HRT 211 β Landscape Plants I (3 credits) for the Institute of Agricultural Technology during the fall semesters (August 16 β December 31).β― The course will be delivered in Muskegon, Michigan at Muskegon Community College.β― HRT 211 contact hours will be 2 hours of lecture, recitation, or discussion per week and 2 hours of lab per week (4 hours of total contact time per week) for 15 weeks of instruction.
Course Description:
Identification, adaptation, and evaluation of shade trees, narrow-leaved evergreens, shrubs, woody vines, herbs, ornamental grasses, and herbaceous perennials.
Course Objectives:
1 ) To learn how to identify plant species common to the Great Lakes area horticulture trade . This includes knowing the scientific name(s), selected cultivars, common name(s), and the plant family . Identification involves seeing parts of th...
