Job Description
Job Summary:
The Instructional Support Technician's primary responsibility is to work in the Gross Anatomy Lab and Anatomical Gift Program. Responsibilities to include but not limited to: Accepting delivery of donor bodies to the University; Prepare/embalm whole donor bodies and anatomical specimens for teaching, research and transfer to other educational institutions; Prepare donor bodies for transport to crematorium; Withdraw samples from donor bodies for HIV, COVID and Hepatitis B/C testing; Maintain complete and accurate records for Anatomical Gift Program (both paper files and computer database); Prepare and file required documentation with the Bureau of Vital Statistics; Maintain Gross Anatomy Lab and assist with teaching activities in the lab; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Mortuary Science and 4 years of relevant professional experience required. Active NYS Funeral Director's License required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds ...
