Job Description

The Best Start Community Health and Wellbeing Service supports families from pregnancy through the early years, helping parents and carers to give their children the best possible start in life.

The service provides support and advice to families on their baby’s health, development, feeding, sleep and emotional wellbeing. Working closely with midwives, Family Hubs and community services, the team offers both universal support for all families and additional help where it is needed, in a friendly, non‑judgemental and inclusive way.

As part of this, the Health Visitor Infant Feeding Team provides specialist support to families with feeding their baby. The team offers evidence‑based information during pregnancy and after birth, as well as one‑to‑one support, group sessions and peer support networks across Cornwall.
