Job Description
**Job Summary**
The ICU Technician provides high-quality, patient-centered support within the Intensive Care Unit by performing delegated clinical and non-clinical tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role assists with the delivery of direct patient care, monitors vital signs and basic diagnostic data, and supports ICU operations to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient care environment. The ICU Technician contributes to improved patient outcomes by supporting the critical care team in meeting the unique needs of high-acuity patients.
**Essential Functions**
+ Provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the RN, following care plans and departmental protocols.
+ Obtains and documents patient data, including vital signs, intake and output, and other clinical observations, alerting licensed personnel to abnormalities.
