**Description:**
The hyperbaric technician, under the supervision of the hyperbaric physician, will assume responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the compression chamber system and supporting components. All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered by the hyperbaric physician.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**

+ Performs maintenance activities of the hyperbaric chambers and associated systems and equipment, as directed
+ Reports safety issues and/or concerns.
+ Demonstrates a working knowledge of chamber operations via completion of HBO competency workbook.
+ Educates and identifies what items are allowed in the chamber area, and during treatments to ensure safety
+ Completes patient treatment charges on a daily basis.
