Job Description

HVAC Technician- Chilled Water Plant
+ Operate and maintain a semi-automated Chilled Water Plant utilizing York Turbomaster Chillers and associated pumps, valves, cooling towers, strainers, water treatment systems, control systems, and low-pressure steam systems.
+ Maintain records and logs of plant operations.
+ Install and maintain air conditioning and refrigeration systems and associated components, including compressors, heat transfer coils, bearings, belts, and pneumatic/DDC control systems.
+ Operate and maintain compressed air systems, oil burners, low-pressure steam heating systems, and hot water heating systems within the Laboratory.
+ Respond to emergency HVAC problems as needed.
+ Perform physical tasks such as climbing and maneuvering on ladders, staging, work platforms, and tight spaces; lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds; and climbing over/around equipment in construction areas.
