Job Description Summary

Under the general supervision of the Director of Development, the Humane Education & Community Outreach Coordinator develops and facilitates engaging educational programs for youth and adults, including tours, camps, scout programs, and community events. This role builds and maintains partnerships with schools, community groups, and the public, promotes responsible pet care and humane behavior to reduce the number of unwanted abused and neglected animals in the community, manages and supports volunteers, and creates educational and digital content to expand the organization’s impact. The HECOC also works within the program budget and supports fundraising efforts to meet program needs, requiring strong organizational, communication, and public speaking skills.
