New York University Department of Pediatric Dentistry has established a one year Connecting Care (CC) training program focused specifically on oral health care for persons with disabilities and complex health conditions (PWDCMC). This position is funded through a five-year postdoctoral HRSA training grant: D88HP37550. The purpose of the Connecting Care training program is to create a sustainable primary care dental workforce that is equipped and empowered to increase the quality, acceptability, and timeliness of oral health care services for PWDCMC. This includes increased knowledge in the prevalent medical conditions, physical and neurodevelopmental disabilities that impact this population. This position will involve researching and training in approaches that help achieve optimal oral health for these underserved populations.
