Job Description
High Vacuum Technician
+ Uniondale, NY
+ We are seeking an experienced High Vacuum Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of high and ultra-high vacuum systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise with vacuum equipment, pumps, gauges, and related instrumentation, along with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain systems to ensure optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Install, assemble, and maintain high and ultra-high vacuum systems and components.
+ Troubleshoot vacuum leaks, perform leak detection using helium mass spectrometers, and ensure system integrity.
+ Operate and maintain pumps (mechanical, turbomolecular, cryogenic, diffusion, and ion pumps).
+ Calibrate and repair vacuum gauges and controllers.
+ Conduct preventative maintenance according to schedules and detailed service records
